Brooke Ransom-Burr, LMFT

Holistic therapist in Santa Rosa

Therapy is about you, but it matters who’s walking beside you. You want someone who gets it, who listens deeply, and who helps you move forward without pushing too hard or disappearing into silence. I’m here for that.

Here’s what you can expect when we work together:

Grounded support. I bring years of experience in therapy and nonprofit work with people from all walks of life. I show up rooted, steady, and real.

True compassion. You get a therapist who holds space without judgment, and who keeps her own stuff out of the room.

Human connection. I’m not a therapy robot. I’m a real person, and I’ll show up as myself—honest, transparent, and present.

A holistic lens. Your mind, body, spirit, and soul are all welcome here. We’ll work in a way that honors every part of you.

Deep presence. When we’re together, I’m all in. I’ll bear witness to your suffering, your joy, your stuck places, and your growth. You’ll feel that presence, and it’ll help you move forward.

My Background, Training, and Therapy Syle

  • I earned my Masters at John F. Kennedy University.

I’m licensed in California and offer both in-person and online therapy for adults across the state.

I’m also a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapist, integrating this work thoughtfully and compassionately into my practice.

  • I have been licensed since 2015 supporting youth, children and adults throughout Sonoma County.

I have worked in multiple clinical settings over the years working with clients and supporting other therapists and have been in private practice since 2024.

  • My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in what feels right for you.
I draw from relational therapy to explore the patterns in how you connect with others, and I bring in mindfulness and self-compassion practices to support you through stress and self-doubt. I also integrate somatic and a nervous system-informed lens, helping you tune in to what your body is telling you, at a pace that feels safe. When helpful, I incorporate evidence-based tools from CBT and DBT to support meaningful, lasting change.

Life can be overwhelming. I’ve been there.

I became a therapist because I believe in the power of real connection. I have learned firsthand how transformative it can be to have someone truly present as you navigate life’s challenges.

As a mom of two, and someone who has spent years trying to meet everyone else’s needs, I know what it feels like to run on empty. Balancing self-care with the demands of family, work, and daily life has not always been easy. I have faced my own experiences with anxiety, depression, and trauma, and those experiences shaped the way I show up in this work with patience, empathy, and deep respect for each person’s journey.

Life has its ups and downs, and I have experienced both. I know what it feels like to carry responsibilities that feel overwhelming, to wrestle with self-doubt, and to push yourself harder than you should. I have also felt the quiet rewards that come from listening to your own needs, setting gentle boundaries, and learning to take care of yourself. These lessons inspire how I support the women and teen girls I work with, helping them notice what matters most, find steadiness, and feel more connected to themselves in everyday life.
