Therapy for Women Who Carry a Lot.

Therapy in Santa Rosa, CA and Across California Online

A person and a child walking on a trail in a forest during sunset with sunlight shining through trees.

You’re the one everyone depends on.

And somehow your own life keeps waiting in line.

Your brain never really turns off.
You notice everything, remember everything, and carry more than you probably admit out loud.
You over-plan, overthink, and over-correct, often before you even realize it.

It is exhausting.

You are holding a lot. Emotions, expectations, responsibility. Most of the time it is invisible to anyone else.
Here, you do not have to manage all of it. You can just put it down for a while.

For older teens, it can feel a little different but just as heavy.
Pressure, expectations, overthinking, trying to keep up or keep it together.
A lot happening internally, with not many places to actually sort through it.

This is a place where you do not have to have it all figured out.

Hi, I’m Brooke, a licensed therapist in Santa Rosa, CA

I became a therapist because I know how easy it is to lose your own voice while taking care of everyone else.

As a mom and a recovering people pleaser, I’ve lived that tension of showing up for others while ignoring my own needs. That experience shapes how I sit with people now.

I work with women who are used to being capable, reliable, and the one others turn to.

A lot of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware. They understand what is happening on some level, but still find themselves in the same patterns or feeling overwhelmed in ways that do not fully make sense.

My style is engaged and straightforward. I pay attention, ask questions, and stay with what is actually happening, not just what is easy to talk about.

You do not need to show up a certain way here. We’ll start wherever you are.

What to Expect Working With Me

We slow things down and actually look at what is happening, not just talk around it.

That might mean noticing how your mind spins something out.
Or catching the moment you start taking on more than you want to.
Or realizing how quickly you move past your own reactions to stay functional.

We pay attention to patterns, especially the ones that keep showing up even when you are aware of them.

Sometimes it is practical.
Sometimes it is just staying with something a little longer than you usually would.

And sometimes, it helps to be able to say things out loud without immediately trying to fix them or make them make sense.

Over time, things tend to feel less tight, less constant, and more manageable in a real way.
